The Government has enacted the Performing Animal (Registration) Rules 2001 to streamline the use of animals in films or other entertainment. Performing animal is an animal which is used at or for the purpose of any entertainment including a film or an equine event to which the public are admitted. The Board registers the Animal Owner under the Performing Animal (Registration) Rules 2001; grant permission for the use of animals in the films or other entertainment and issue certification for the use of animals in the Films.
